Turns out, the wedding that BX attended on Saturday, was not only his jc classmate’s wedding, but my primary school classmate’s wedding.
How small can the world get? Like just that teeny weeny smaller. I’d probably see it more as our worlds have been overlapping, we just failed to see that because of how we met, and the circumstances in which we got together. And then as time goes by, more and more common events, and friends might pop out from somewhere, we just don’t expect them coming.
Can you imagine, had I been BX’s plus one (when he told me about it in March this year, I vaguely remember he told me around that timeframe), how would things have turned out? This is quite amusing actually. When he said that the girl was of my age, I did ask him the academic background of the girl, cuz I thought hey I might actually know this girl. Gut feel, as some might call it. However, when he told me that the girl went to VJC (his bad, not mine), I just put the thought aside and shrugged it away.
How funny was that, I logged onto FB this morning (I didn’t want to start work so early, you see) and I saw a ex-RCY mate post her batchmate’s wedding online. So I thought hey I probably know who was getting married, and BX’s classmate’s face was staring straight back at me when the picture loaded. How did I recognise his classmate – through BX’s FB album of the wedding (he did not have any pictures of the bride you see).
I am still pretty tickled by this astounding fact, actually. Hahaha.
I’m starting up a new blog (yes yet again, please don’t sigh) but that will be specifically for my students. Students don’t have access to this blog, they have access to this. You could pop by and interact with them (and me!), that’s if they leave comments on my blog. Lols. That blog will remain purely academic – for students and perhaps, school/staff only.
